Christina started doing crossfit at CrossFit Mercer in January of 2013 where she coached CrossFit Kids classes for 2 years. In January 2014, she started coaching regular CrossFit classes and also works with on-boarding and private training.
Christina was always active and became a certified Personal Trainer while working at the YMCA, but she never had a gym routine, she never lifted free weights until CrossFit was introduced to her in Jan of 2013. She admits it was a rough start having no experience with weight lifting. But the people, the community, the camaraderie is what kept her coming back. Everyday she walks through the bay door, she is challenged to go places, and do things she never could before nor thought possible. Everyday she is challenged by her classmates to be better, faster, stronger. Christina’s 1 goal is to be better than she was yesterday.
In CrossFit, Christina didn’t just find fitness, she found better nutrition, a quality of life that allows her to keep up with her kids and remain active. You can see Christina consistently at the 5am class and some say that’s pure dedication or craziness. But they show up, put the work in, laugh a lot and come back the next day.
Christina knows in the CrossFit community, it doesn’t matter if you finish first or finish last-as long as you don’t give up and crush that Wod….3….2….1….GO!!!
